Hey this looks super exciting! What kind of time commitment can I expect each week? And do you have a sense of what will I would need to block out for the meetings? I've got a day job so I have to figure out if this could fit around that.

Most writers spend between 5-15 hr per week across workshops and writing time! I wouldn’t join the Season if you can’t dedicate at least 5 hours. 🙏

There are typically 3 or 4 workshops per week that run an hour a piece, plus an Authoring Circle time that's 90 minutes. The workshops are all recorded, though, and you’ll have access to them for as long as YouTube exists 😆

If there's a loud voice telling you "EXCITING THINGS! DO THIS RIGHT NOW!" and a small voice saying, "Oh but I don't know, I'm busy. And scared of people. Ugh and money tho..." You approach the small voice with care and concern and inform it that this is definitely worth the time and financial investment. Just as you hope, Foster WILL jumpstart your accountability habits, inspire you to write better, and throw open your eyes to new ways of approaching the craft. And you may even make a new friend or two (at the very least follow new writers that totally blow your mind). Jump in, the water's fine.

Could you say more about what writing circles are? I'm very unsure about my ability to commit this amount of time right now but this also looks really amazing. How generative is it? I'm trying to launch a blog and focus on content creation (while working a part time job, being a mom to an ND kid, and deal with my own chronic health issues....)

Hi Sybil! Here’s a bit about them from The Book of Foster, which you can find at https://foster.co:

“Authoring Circles are free, artfully-crafted containers for writers to drop into what feels most alive to them, and write from that place. Our facilitators play with meditation, somatic experiencing, imaginal practice, improvisation, breathwork, and more—all aimed at helping writers drop into embodied states of flow and unfettered expression. After a dedicated period of focused writing, we circle back and share our experience, perhaps even reading something we’ve written. It’s an intimate process, designed to help you deepen into connection with yourself, a small group of kindred spirits, and the words you put on the page.”

I’d suggest you fill out the application on our website and then after we check it out, we’ll likely do a quick call with you to see if it’s a good fit for you.

Will you offer the Season 4 theme again in the near future with new dates, or will your next offering be Season 5 with a new theme?

We’ll never offer the Season 4 theme again. Each Season has an entirely new theme! :)
