✨ Fosterverse Weekly #9 ✨
Hello Writers!
The first Monday of the month is always an exciting time in the Fosterverse, as it’s when our monthly Cohorts kick off. Yesterday a new group of writers embarked upon our collective practice of inhabiting a question, complexity, or muse that’s alive for us and writing from that place.
And the wonderful thing is that there’s always something new to explore! So no matter what our writing practice (or lack thereof) was like in the prior month, we can use the opportunity to take a deep breath, recommit, and begin again.
In our opening ceremony yesterday, writers expressed curiosity about themes including navigating big life transitions, trusting the process of just writing without a big intention, finding questions that have special weight for us, and investigating the various relationships in our lives, including that most mysterious of relationships - the one we have with our writing.
Whether you’re participating in the Cohort or just interested in putting some words on paper this month, consider this your invitation to see your writing with fresh eyes. What’s coming up for you today? How might you capture it in a way that is generative and true? What would feel good to say right now? As we find over and over again, all you have to do is get started. Things have a way of opening up from there.
As always, we have a full calendar of free Writing Circles available if you’d like some help getting those fingers typing/hand moving. We may be biased, but our facilitators are out there doing THE WORK, and it’s a beautiful thing. Hope to see you at one soon!

Huge thank you for sharing my piece on letter-writing.
I feel so grateful to have joined Foster. I was reading this intro about the new cohort and when I reached the part about exploring the relationship we have with writing, I lit up and thought, "that's me, that's me". Of course it's also many others. But I saw myself in that. And I see myself here. Thank you.
